Rorick-Kelly

Miss Molly Ann Kelly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Roy Kelly of Rossford, Ohio, and George Herbert Rorick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Rorick of Seneca, were married at 4:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon in the Rossford Methodist church. The service was read before an improvised altar of roses, delphinium, June lilies and baby-breath. The Rev. C.H. Hutchinson read the single room service. Miss Eunice McDonald cousin of the bride sang “Because” and “I Love You” accompanied by Mrs. Louis Schroeder who played Mendelssohn’s wedding march.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a floor length dress of white silk jersey sheer with embroidered hem and sleeves and she wore a strand of pearls. Her floor length veil, caught with a band of orange blossoms, [was] formerly worn by her aunt Mrs. H.J. McDougal at her wedding. The bride carried a bouquet of white gladioluses. She was attended by her sister Mrs. Max Herbert of South Amherst, Ohio, who wore peach figured net and carried a bouquet of talisman roses and blue delphinium. Marvin Rorick, brother of the groom, was the best man and C.H. Rorick, Jr. of Morenci was an usher. Mrs. Kelly chose for her daughter’s wedding a light blue redingote with white accessories and wore a corsage bouquet of American Beauty roses. Mrs. Rorick, mother of the bridegroom, wore a navy sheer dress with accessories to match and a shoulder bouquet of gardenias.

After the ceremony a reception was held in the home of the bride’s parents for 75 guests. Dainty refreshments were served from a lace covered table centered with a three tiered English wedding cake topped with a spring of orange blossoms and a decorated bride’s cake. Mrs. F.F. Price and Miss Eunice McDonald presided at the table.

Mr. and Mrs. Rorick left for a few day’s trip in northern Michigan. Mrs. Rorick chose for traveling a brown and white print dress with brown jacket and accessories to match.

Mrs. Rorick is a graduate of the Rossford high school and of the Flower hospital in Toledo. At present she is superintendent of nurses in the Blanchard hospital in Morenci. Mr. Rorick is a graduate of the Morenci high school with the class of 1937.

Out of town guests who attended the wedding were Mrs. H.J. McDougal of Wallaceburg, Ont., Miss Eunice McDonald of Thedford, Ont., Harold Lloyd of Evanston, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Max Herbert of South Amherst, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Foster and Peter Pruden [sic] of Perrysburg, Mrs. G.H. Rorick, Mrs. Cosper Rorick and son Cosper Jr., Mrs. A.N. Brewer, Mrs. Harold Ranger, Dr. and Mrs. J.A. Blanchard, Mr. and Mrs. William Kahle and daughter Helen, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Raymond, Miss Bernice Siders, Mrs. Robert Paine and Mrs. Leland Foster of Morenci.
