Mrs. Eli Mead

The funeral of Mrs. Eli Mead was held at the house on Avenue K, Matamoras, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. A.H. Murdock conducted the service. The Ladies’ Aid society of Epworth Church attended in a body. Rev. Murdock, Mrs. Harry Lilley, Mrs. M. Reinert, Mrs. Chester Smith, Mrs. Lewis Luckey and Mrs. James Lyon sang “Some Day the Silver Cord will Break.” Mrs. A.H. Murdock accompanied at the piano. There were many beautiful flora tributes. Interment took place in Pine Grove cemetery, Matamoras.

The pall bearers were William Rettalic, John Whitaker, Chester Snyder, Martin Clark, James Greenhaigh and Thomas Clark.

The flower bearers were Mrs. Harry Billman, Mrs. A.H. Murdock, Mrs. Harry Lilley, Mrs. Frank Brown, Mrs. M. Reinert, Mrs. Lewis Luckey and Mrs. James Lyon.
