Paul Millikens Stage Wedding Trip to Miami

To reside in Pontiac after a wedding trip to Miami, Fla., are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Milliken who were married Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock in the chapel of the Plymouth Congregational church.

The new Mrs. Milliken is the former Mrs. Mary Kelly of Oxford, daughter of Mrs. Frank Groover, also of Oxford. Mr. Milliken resides in Pontiac.

Bessie B. Groover

Bessie Bell Groover, 82, formerly of Oxford, died Friday in Pontiac after an illness of several years.

Born in Ray Center, she attended the Oxford schools and was a resident of Oxford for 67 years. She was the widow of Frank Groover.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary A. Milliken of Pontiac and Mrs. Marcella Hockman of Indianapolis, Ind., and one grandson.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Bossardet Funeral Home, The Rev. Fred Clark of Thomas United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oxford.

Kelly-Milliken Nuptial

Mrs. Mary Kelly, daughter of Mrs. Frank Groover and the late Mr. Grover [sic], former Oxford residents, was married to Paul Milliken at Lansing, Sept. 2. Dr. R.M. Bartlett officiated at the 3 o’clock service in the chapel of the Plymouth Congregational church at Lansing. A bouquet of red roses accented the bride’s navy blue costume. Attending the couple were the bride’s cousin and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Libby of Lansing. A reception at the Libby home was held during the evening of the ceremony.
