Jack K. Litts, infant son of Justin Litts and Lillian Mead Litts, died in the St. Francis hospital at eight o’clock Monday night, February 25th, aged three days. Interment took place at the Laurel Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah Catherine Bross Mead, wife of Eli Mead died at her home, 129 Ball street on Tuesday evening, October 2nd, after a long illness. She was 77 years of age. Deceased who was a member of one of the oldest families in northern New Jersey was born in Wantage, Sussex county; her parent being Everitt Bross and Hannah Clay Bross. On December 24th, 1867, she was united in marriage with Mr. Mead and since that time has been a resident of Port Jervis. She as a member of the Drew M.E. church and Home Department and the Women’s Relief Corps of the G.A.R.

Many Friends Remember Mr. and Mrs. Mead with Gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Eli Mead are celebrating the 50th or golden anniversary at their home, No. 129 Ball street, this afternoon and evening. Fifty friends of this estimable couple joined with them in the pleasant social affair in commemoration of a half century of married life.
In honor of the occasion, the house was prettily decorated with Christmas greens, and during the day, Mr. and Mrs. Mead were the recipients of hearty congratulations as well as numerous gifts including several gold pieces.
