Effie Lindley & Benjamin Harrison Bishop

R.H. [sic] Bishop and Miss Effie Lindley were married in Spokane last Thursday. Both young people are well known here where they have lived from childhood. Mr. Bishop is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Bishop, pioneers of this county, and Miss Lindley is the daughter of M.W. Lindley of St. John. They will reside on the J.D. Bishop farm, which the young man has rented.

Jo Ann Lawrence & Ricky Bishop

Mr. and Mrs. Donald C. Lawrence, 53 E. Stevens St., announce the marriage of their daughter, Jo Ann, to Ricky Sprague Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard S. Bishop, Rt. 1, Dayton Road. The Rev. Robert L. Carter officiated for double ring nuptials exchanged at 10 a.m., June 12, in Maple Avenue Christian Church.

The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Melvin Bascomb, as matron of honor; and George H. Lawrence, the bride’s brother, was best man. The bride wore a floor length empire gown of dotted Swiss trimmed with seed pearls. A pearl crown held her shoulder length illusion veil, and she carried a bouquet of daisies and baby’s breath. A reception followed at Valley View Restaurant for 65 guests. Misses Beth Whirl, Sharon Wray and Gayle Whirl assisted.

A 1967 graduate of Newark High School and a 1969 graduate of Muskingum Area Joint Vocational school, the bride is employed as a nurse at Children’s Hospital, Columbus. A 1969 Licking Valley High School graduate, the bridegroom is a member of the Ohio National Guard, and is employed at the Ohio National Guard Armory.

Following a short trip to Lake Erie, they are living at 277 Eddy St., Apt. B.

The county clerk’s office yesterday issued a marriage license to Edward Morris and Mary M. Sanders, both of Boise.  License was also issued to Otto Downard and Sarah Berkley, giving Boise as their address.  (Idaho Statesman, November 4, 1906)
