At the start of 2019, I announced that I would be posting all the clippings I had to date in chronological order in order to give myself and my readers a sense of how things changed and evolved through more than 100 years’ worth of newspaper articles and mentions.
WordPress gives me the ability to schedule posts in advance, and at that time I had enough transcriptions to schedule through what I thought would be December 31. Then, I took a little time off from collecting clippings and transcribing them to work on other research projects.
The project ended up extending slightly beyond the calendar year and ended yesterday.
I still have a number clippings to transcribe and actively seek out new databases and archives, but for the time being I will most likely be posting once or twice a week.
At the beginning of the year, I decided to post my backlog of transcriptions in chronological order. We are now at mid-point of the year and have reached 1916. I estimate that I will be finished with this project in February 2020. In the meantime, I’ve continued to gather clippings and will figure out my new approach at the beginning of the new year.
I’m grateful to anyone and everyone who follows my site. Happy researching!
