Mr. and Mrs. S.H. Barker and son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Barker and infant son, Samuel Joseph, were dinner guest Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schindler of Salem. Little Samuel Joseph was named for Mr. Barker and Mr. Schindler and they are much pleased. The infant has received some valuable presents from both. (Oregon Statesman, May 3, 1928)
Mrs. Flora Green attended the Sutton-Groover reunion Saturday at the home of Sam Beardsley, near Clarkston. The occasion was in honor of Marion Sutton, Marion, O., who is 90 years of age. Mr. Sutton’s sister, who is 83 years of age, was among those present. Forty were in attendance at this gathering. (Oxford Leader, August 31, 1928)
