Gerald S. Bryant, 52, died suddenly at 4 a.m. Sunday, September 24, in his home on North street, Morenci, Michigan.
He was born May 15, 1898, in Seneca township, the son of Frank and Katie Rorick Bryant. At the age of twenty, he was married to Ethelyn Shugars of Onsted. He continued with the work of his father who was in the livestock business, and for the past two years his son Frank has been associated with him.
Besides his wife Ethelyn and three children, Marilyn, Frank and Richard, he is survived by three grandchildren, Mark and Jerry, sons of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Rorick, and Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bryant; also two sisters, Mary Bryant, and Mrs. Marshall T. Gorton of Detroit, Michigan.
He was a member of the Elks lodge of Coldwater, the Morenci F.O.E., the Russell Green Post of the American Legion, the Morenci Service Club and the Morenci Improvement Association.
Funeral services were held September 26, at the Ackland Funeral Home with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
