Fall From Pole Results in Death

Casper Beardslee Died in Goodrich Hospital Early Friday Morning

Casper Beardslee passed away in Goodrich Hospital early Friday morning the result of injuries received on Wednesday afternoon when the telephone pole upon which he was working broke at the base and threw him 17 feet to the ground.  He struck his head in the fall and never regained consciousness.

Mr. Beardslee was born in Lake Orion, Oct. 20, 1884.  He married Hattie Beardslee and they made their home on a farm at 9440 Birch Lake Road.  He was well known in and around Clarkston having spent his entire life in this vicinity.

He was a member of Independence Grange.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Lillian, and two sons Earl and Ray, and his father, John. O. Beardslee who made his home with him.

Funeral services were held at the home on Monday afternoon. Rev. H.A. Huey of Ann Arbor former pastor of the Clarkston Baptist Church officiated and he was assisted by Rev. H.B. Stevens.  Burial was in Lakeview cemetery.
