The funeral of Mrs. Helen Strayer, wife of Floyd Strayer, principal of the Sand Creek high school, was held at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Guss, in Medina, Tuesday, at 2 o’clock.
The Rev. W.H. Perkins of Detroit conducted the services. The bearers were Glen, Robert and Donald Guss, Gerald Bryant, John Ferris and Harold Strayer. Burial was made in the Medina cemetery.
Mrs. Strayer, aged 25 years, was born near Medina village and lived there until her marriage in 1927.
She was graduated from the Hudson high school and the Michigan State Normal College at Ypsilanti. After graduation she taught in the Hudson, Fruit Ridge and Sand Creek schools.
She is survived by her husband; an infant daughter, Catherine Marie; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Guss of Medina; one sister, Alice; and three brothers, Glen, Robert and Donald.
