Under the chairmanship of David Rorick the drive for the Fifth Victor Loan began this week in the Oceanside district. President Beers of the First National bank, who would otherwise have been placed in charge of the work, thought best to decline because of his being a recent comer and not yet well acquainted with the people of this locality. Mr. Beers is doing everything in his power, however, to aid in the drive. The quota for Oceanside has been set at $30,000.
