Localites will be interested to learn of a betrothal heralded last Friday at the Colony Club in Manhattan when Miss Clara Marsh MacLeod and Horton C. Rorick told a group of friends that they would wed, probably some time in the fall.
The young lady hails from Missoula, Mont., where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. MacLeod live, but she stems from a well-known San Francisco family. She also made a host of friends of her own while attending the Katherine Branson school in Ross a few years ago.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Stetson Wheeler and the last Mr. Wheeler, former University of California regent and, in his time, one of the foremost members of the bar. Her uncle is Charles S. Wheeler, Jr., of Walnut Creek, and her cousin, Charles S. Wheeler III, also of this city.
Miss MacLeod graduated last June from Sarah Lawrence College and until recently was studying dramatics in New York.
Her fiancé, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ceilan H. Rorick of Toledo, Ohio, has resumed his studies at Yale University after naval service.
