Eleanor Walling, Bakersfield’s 19-year-old bobbed-hair bandit, is just No. 39601 at San Quentin from now on. The girl, sentenced to the State penitentiary for from five years to life, following her participation in the holdup and robbery of the Taft Bank at Bakersfield, last August, arrived at the prison yesterday afternoon. She was in custody of Deputy Sheriff Fred Eng and Mrs. Laura Hill, matron. Her companion in the robbery, Scotty Taylor, was taken to Folsom prison.
