William Jones died this morning at 229 East Henry Street after several months illness. He was 86 years old.
Mr. Jones was born June 26, 1855, one of ten children of Orlando and Mary Jones at Cooperstown, N.Y. In 1877 he moved to Michigan settling in Lenawee county. He moved to his present Henry Street home in Adrian in 1902.
He was preceded in death by his wife Susie five years ago. Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Joseph Moll with whom he lived, one brother Charles Jones of Hudson and two sisters Mrs. Cora Drane of Albany, N.Y., and Mrs. Evelyn Steele of Litchfield Springs, N.Y.
The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Everiss Funeral Home, the Rev. Cassius John officiating. The burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery in Hudson.
