The funeral of Charles Grant, the 11-year-old boy who was drowned in the overflow near the north levee last Sunday, took place yesterday from the home of his parents, 405 K Street, and was largely attended, there being a number of the deceased’s former associates.

The religious services were conducted by Rev. A.C. Herrick, and the pallbearers were: Leonard Harvey, Raymond Harvey, Chris Rodegerdts, George King, Manuel Bernal and John Norman.

The funeral of 10-year-old Harry L. Rorick, who was drowned with Charley Grant, took place this morning from Clark’s undertaking establishment. It was largely attended by adult acquaintances of his relatives, and a number of his former playmates.

Rev. Frank Mitchell conducted the religious services, and the pallbearers were Willie Yager, Reuben Salisbury, Eddie Wilson, Birtie Smith, Leland Freeman and Dwight Rue.

At both funerals the floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.
