Mrs. Laura A. Furman

Laura Alice Furman was born at Franklin Furnace, New Jersey, July 4, 1857, and came to Michigan with her parents when 11 years of age, settling on a farm one mile east of Canandaigua, where she attended school. She was married to William H. Furman February 10, 1877. To this union three sons were born, Lewis M., Leon J. and John L. She passed away December 18, 1934, at the age of 77 years, five months and 14 days. A faithful wife, a fond mother and of industrious disposition, she was loved by all who knew her. She was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Medina.

February 10, 1934, Mr. and Mrs. Furman celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary by entertaining a few invited friends. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, two sons, Lewis M. Furman and Leon J. Furman, one brother, John E. Moore, one nephew John W. Moore, one grandniece Patricia Moore of Detroit. Her son John Lynn Furman died July 20, 1915.
