ALGONA—Funeral services for Mrs. Marcella Armstrong, 80, Algona, who died Wednesday at the Algona hospital, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Algona. Msgr. W.B. Bauer will be celebrant, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Algona.
Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. today at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Algona. Scripture reading will be 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by the parish rosary at 8 p.m. Family service will be 9:55 a.m. Saturday.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Melinda Jennings and Mrs. Floyd (Elizabeth) Erickson, both of Algona; Mrs. George (Leona) Romer and Mrs. John (Valerian) Hart, both of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Mathias (Josephine) Hentges, Joy, Ill.; two sons, Jerome Erdman, Forest City, and Arthur Erdman, LuVerne; 26 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four step-sons, Milton Armstrong and Earl Armstrong, both of Livermore, Floyd Armstrong, Wesley, and Don (Dutch) Armstrong, Arizona.
