BURT—James A. Armstrong died suddenly at his home here Monday afternoon, following an illness of only an hour or two, a stroke being the cause of his death.
He was born May 3, 1862 at Irvington and lived in Kossuth county all his life with the exception of three years spent in Kansas. He was married Dec. 14, 1899, to Dora Sharp. Five children were born, four of whom survive, Mrs. Merle Neilsen of Spencer, Charles of Livermore, and Zelora and James of Des Moines. He is also survived by his wife and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. C.B. Michell, pastor of the M.E. church, conducting the service. Burial was in the Irvington cemetery.
