Leading Citizen Dies At The Dalles

The Dalles, Aug. 18 (AP)—J.T. Rorick, 79, prominent eastern Oregon attorney and educator, died at this home here Wednesday.  He had lived here 40 years.

Mr. Rorick was a graduate of the University of Michigan law school, and for eight years published a newspaper in that state.  He came to The Dalles in 1892 and established a dairy farm of purchased cattle.  He was a member of the school board and a member of the city works commission.  He later served as director and vice president of the Oregon State Chamber of Commerce. Two sons and two daughters survive.
