Astoria, Ore., Aug. 31 (AP)—Frances Ann Mott, daughter of Rep. James W. Mott (R.-Ore.), was crowned queen of the 24th Astoria regatta last night.
The regatta was in full swing today. Events were highlighted by dedication of the Tongue Point naval air base, start of construction on the project and the opening of a three-day schedule of sail, speedboat and fish boat races.
