Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Walling are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Miss Gertrude Walling, and Curtis Stewart of Portland. The ceremony was solemnized June 5 at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Hallock in Tacoma, Wash. The Hallocks are cousins of the bride. Members of the two families and a few close friends witnessed the simple but impressive ceremony.
Mrs. Stewart is a graduate of Oregon State college where she was affiliated with Alpha Chi Omega sorority and for several years has been a member of the Washington high school faculty in Portland. She is a sister of Mrs. James Mott, wife of Congressman Mott.
Mr. Stewart is in business in Portland. The couple will reside at Lake Oswego upon their return from a wedding trip to Canadian points.
