MORENCI, Mich., June 25.—The Rorick reunion was held Wednesday at the home of E.E. Spear, Medina. There were about one hundred people present, and dinner was served under a tent on the lawn. At the business meeting, presided over by M.C. Rorick, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year.
President, Dr. E.H. Rorick, Fayette.
Secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Amelia Rorick, Morenci.
Chairman of executive committee—Mrs. Earl Baldwin, Fayette.
Cosper M. Rorick and wife invited the members to meet at their home next year. The invitation was accepted.
A short program followed the business meeting. The company sang “Auld Lang Syne” as C.B. Horton “lined it off” as in “ye olden times.” Mrs. John Moore presided at the piano. Mrs. Eva Crane sang a solo and responded to an encore. The children enjoyed a story told by Mrs. John P. Rorick. Mrs. John Moore gave an instrumental selection, and responded to an encore. Impromptu talks were given by G.B. Horton and Dr. E.H. Rorick. The lists of births, deaths and marriages were read by Mrs. (Dr.) Rorick Bennett of Detroit.
Those from out of town were J.C. Rorick and wife of Wauseon, Chas. E. Gallup and wife of Ann Arbor; Mrs. Harlow Ingall and children of Plymouth; John Moore and wife of Detroit; W.R. Rorick of Buffalo; A.V. Foster and family of Toledo; Dr. Rorick Bennett and Mrs. George Rorick Clark of Kensington, Md.; Master John Murphy,Columbus.
