Lifelong Oregonian Dies at Wagner Home

Ashland, 24—Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Briner, 81, who died Thursday at her home on Wagner creek, will be held here Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Litwiller funeral home.  The Rev. Earl Downing will be in charge of services and interment will be in Stearns cemetery, Talent.

Mrs. Briner was born Feb. 10, 1870, at Lincoln, Polk county, Oregon, and was married March 7, 1888, to George H. Briner, who survives.  She had been a resident of the Wagner creek area for most of the past 57 years.

Other survivors include a daughter, Elfa Long, Talent; a son, Lyle, Prospect; a sister, Mrs. C.A. Bell, Portland, one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
