Charles Lee Armstrong

Charles Lee Armstrong, son of James A. and Dora Armstrong, was born June 1, 1892, at Leavenworth, Kan., and departed this life March 5, 1949.  He spent most of his life in Kossuth and Humboldt counties.

Feb. 25, 1925 [sic], he was united in marriage to Alma Riley, and to this union four children were born.  They are Milton, Earle, Floyd and Conald [sic], all residing in Livermore.  Mrs. Armstrong preceded her husband in death in October of 1937.  Mr. Armstrong’s parents, one sister, Mildred, and a brother, Zelora, also preceded him in death.

Those who survive the deceased are Mrs. Marcella Erdman Armstrong, whom Mr. Armstrong married Nov. 27, 1940; the four sons; a sister, Mrs. Merle Nielson of Spencer; a brother, James, of Fort Dodge; five grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Services were held Monday, Mar. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Livermore Methodist church. Interment was in the Luverne cemetery.  Rev. Robert Phillips officiated, and the Bogaard Funeral Home of Humboldt was in charge.—Contributed
