Marble Rock, Sept. 1 — John D. Dilts, aged 81 years, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mayne Spaulding, Tuesday evening. Short services were held at the Sheets Funeral home Wednesday afternoon with Rev. J.E. DeLong of Charles City officiating. The remains were taken to Randolph, Iowa, where the funeral was held Friday afternoon. He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Virgil Dilts of Randolph, one daughter, Mrs. Mayne Spaulding, and one sister, Mrs. James Wylie of Oakland, Ia., and six grandchildren.
