Merchant Dies at Lincoln

Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, Loren [sic] Walling, aged 32 years, died at his home at Lincoln, after a lingering illness of dropsy.  Mr. Walling was well known in Polk and Marion counties, having been engaged in the mercantile business at Lincoln.  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Walling, well known hop growers of that vicinity.  He leaves a widow and two small children and several brothers and sisters.
