Lincoln, Feb. 14. – (Special) – J.D. Walling was guest of honor at a party given at his home Wednesday evening to celebrate his 72nd birthday anniversary. Three tables of “500” were in play, Alvin Madsen making high score. Mrs. J.D. Walling was assisted at the luncheon by Mrs. J. Fred Purvine, Mrs. Jesse Walling and Miss Georgiana Briggs.
The guest group included the guest of honor, Mrs. And Mrs. Walter Gerth, Mrs. Byron Harritt, Miss Jessie Harritt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Parmenter and nephew Buddy, all of Salem; Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Stratton, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Walling, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Madsen and sons Richard and Robert, Mr. and Mrs. J. Fred Purvine, Miss Georgiana Briggs, Clarence Woelk and the hostess.
